Mark 1:35-39
Jesus Prays and Preaches. (Note: Mark's experience)
35And in the morning, rising up a great while before day, he went out, and departed into a solitary place, and there prayed. 36And Simon and they that were with him followed after him. 37And when they had found him, they said unto him, All men seek for thee. 38And he said unto them, Let us go into the next towns, that I may preach there also: for therefore came I forth. 39And he preached in their synagogues throughout all Galilee, and cast out devils.
Luke 4:42-44
Jesus Preaches in Judea. (Note: Luke's experience)
42And when it was day, he departed and went into a desert place: and the people sought him, and came unto him, and stayed him, that he should not depart from them. 43And he said unto them, I must preach the kingdom of God to other cities also: for therefore am I sent.
44And he preached in the synagogues of Galilee.
Mark 1:37
And when they had found him, they said unto him, All men seek for thee.
Pastor Andrew Wommack teaches on "Drawn by His Power"
Jesus’ ministry was only a few months old and masses of people were seeking Him out. This is astonishing when you realize that Jesus did not use any of the conventional methods of publicity. He had already rejected publicity during His first ministry in Jerusalem. (John 2:24,25 "24But Jesus did not commit himself unto them, because he knew all men, 25And needed not that any should testify of man: for he knew what was in man..") There was no natural explanation for Jesus’ success
Note
In the last sentence, where Pastor says, "there is no natural explanation...", this is what is required for Christians, believers, children of God to succeed in this world if they have not yet: Divine Power to intervene for us. To receive that, we must follow Jesus. John 14:6 says "Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me". He intercesses -prays- to the Father on our behalf as it is written in Romans 8:34 "Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died" (He died for these reasons: Divine Power intervention in the areas the enemy is depriving, beating, oppressing, BLOCKING, fighting, us), "yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession (maketh prayer) for us".
Note continues... And in 1 John 2:1, it is written, "My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not" (this is how we walk the gift of righteousnes. If we slip, we repent instantly, and invite Jesus into the sin to intercede for us. "And if any man sin, we have an advocate (defender) with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous:". This does not give man the right to sin. God knows the reasons behind our sins. He knows what we struggle with, what we don't want to do but the enemy's hold is so strong, to the point where one might become weak. Repent instantly, and GIVE IT ALL TO JESUS. Invite Him into it by coming to Him and resting in Him, asking Him to take it away. Read February 20, 2023 blog. And submit to Father God, surrender to Jesus, yield to the Holy Spirit and the devil will flee from you (James 4:7). And mind you, sin could be generational, coming down 3 to 4 generations down the bloodline, or it could be someone sinning against you. It is not always what you have done. I don't want you to feel condemned. The devil condemns.
Note continues... One of the benefits as a believer is, when we repent to God of our sins, in the Name of Jesus, they are forgiven (1 John 1:9 says "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness). This is where the gift of righteousness comes in - 2 Corinthians 5:21 "He (God) made the One (Jesus) not having known sin to be sin for us, so that in Him we might become the righteousness of God". We do not gain righteousness because of what we do, we gain righteousness from what Jesus has done for us. And when God looks at us, He sees us through Jesus, just as Jesus is, righteous, because Jesus covers us. Ask for righteousness, receive it, and walk in it, in Jesus' Name.
Prayer
Lord Jesus, I come to You, on behalf of myself and my bloodline and ancestry all the way back to Adam and Eve, including our future generations. I stand in the gap and repent of all our sins, known and unknown to us. We come to You to rest in You from the burdens and weariness that comes with unrighteousness. I invite You and give You complete control to our salvation. We receive Your gift of Grace. Let Your Kingdom come and Your Will be done. In Your Mighty Name I pray. Amen!!! (c) pflb 2/22/2023
Note continues... And in Hebrews 7:25, it is written "Wherefore He (Jesus) is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by Him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession (prayers) for them". Wow! Amazing. Jesus lives to pray for us. Thank You Jesus. Thank You! Thank You! Thank You! Wow! Such love! Such care! My God!
Pastor Andrew Wommack continues His teaching on "Drawn by His Power
God is the one who promoted Jesus, and He used supernatural means to do it. It was not the slick techniques of Madison Avenue that brought the crowds; it was the awesome manifestation of God’s power. Just the day before, Jesus had cast a demon out of a man at the synagogue in Capernaum. (Mark 1:21-28.) This caused the whole city to gather at Peter’s house where Jesus healed every one. (Luke 4:40.)
Jesus’ display of the miraculous power of God was the spark that the Holy Spirit used to light a fire in the hearts of these people. Jesus had this power because of His intimate relationship with His Father (John 14:6 "the way"). He was in continual communion with Him (John 14:6 "the way"). When He wasn’t ministering to the people, He was in prayer with His Father (John 14:6 "the way").
As you seek to touch others with the new life you’ve found in Christ, understand that God will bring them to you if you allow Him to work supernaturally through you. Decide today that you will open your mind and heart to the power of the Holy Spirit, and let God confirm His Word with signs and wonders and miracles through you. It is easy to lead people to Jesus after they are healed, delivered, and given the wisdom they need in His name! (Note: praise the Lord, hallelujah).
