JESUS IS YOUR SECURITY

Shabbat Shalom!  Today, we are going to talk about Jesus as our security.  The word security is a noun.  It means safety, protection, peace of mind.  Other words that have the same meaning as security are: freedom, guarantee, insurance, armor, cover, defense, guard, promise, safeguard, salvation, shelter, surveillance, shield, etc..  So we will start out with God's Promise for Jesus as our security.

1 Peter 1:3-5

"Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to His abundant mercy has begotten us again to a living hope {Jesus} through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, to an inheritance incorruptible   and undefiled and that does not fade away, reserved in Heaven for you.  Who are kept by the power of God through faith for salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.

Inheritance = estate, legacy, birthrightgift, etc..

Incorruptible = above suspicion, imperishable, indestructible perpetual, pure, untouchable,                                       etc.

Undefiled = clean, flawless, immaculate, unsoiled, etc.

This is why the Bible says in 2 Peter 1:3 "His Divine Power has given us everything we need                  for life and godliness through the knowledge of Him who called us by His own glory and                         excellence".  Knowledge = Word of God.  Now you know why satan does not want you to read             the Bible.

 John 10:27-29

"My {Jesus our Shepard} sheep {us believers} hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me.  And I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; neither shall anyone snatch them out of My hand.  My Father, who has given them to Me, is greater than all: and no one is able to snatch them out of My Father's hand".

My God!  This Scripture alone is enough for a believer to have security in God.  He is our Shepard and we are His sheep.  I believe His Voice is His Word.  This is why it is very important to read it, listen to it, meditate on it, familiarize yourself with it, because when He talks to you, you know it's Him.  I love the part where He says "neither shall anyone snatch them out of My hand".  That means that satan can oppress us, but he cannot possess us.  Because from the day we became born again {accepted Jesus as our Lord and Savior}, we no longer were our own, we belonged Christ.

Ephesians 2:13-15  "But now you belong to Christ Jesus.  At one time you were far away from God.  Now you have been brought close to Him.  Christ did this for you when He gave His blood on the cross.  We have peace because of Christ.  He has made the Jews and those who are not Jews one people.  He broke down the wall that divided them".  WOW!

If you ever feel like your life is not at peace, then this is what is happening.  Someone is stealing your peace amongst other things.  Check this verse out:

John 10:10 "The thief {satan} comes only to steal and kill and destroy.  I {Jesus} have come that they may have life, and have it more abundantly".  It is God's desire for us to have everything we need in abundance.  This is another reason why it is perfectly okay to say thank You Jesus for no reason.

Romans 8:38-39

"For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord."  Not even satan, because he also is a created thing, can separate us from the "love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord".

Philippians 1:6

Being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ.

2 Thessalonians 3:3

"But the Lord is faithful, who will establish you and guard you from the evil one".

All these Scriptures are Promises God has made to us.  The Bible says that "He is not a man that He should lie" {Numbers 23:19}; and that "His Word cannot go forth out of His Mouth and return void without it accomplishing that which it is sent against" {Isaiah 55:11}.  All we have to do is believe and stand on His Promise.  This is faith.

2 Corinthians 1:22

"Who also has sealed us and given us the Spirit in our hearts as a guarantee".

Wow!  This Scripture is deep.  Other words for sealed is: airtight, closed, fixed, firm, shut, impenetrable, tight.  Hallelujah!!!  This Scripture tells me that satan actually pounces on believers who don't know who they are and whose they are, and don't know the Word {Jesus} of God.  I believe this is the reason Jesus said "my people suffer because of lack of knowledge" {Hosea 4:6}.  Remember 2 Peter 1:3 I mentioned earlier?  It says "His Divine Power has given us everything we need for a godly life through our knowledge of Him who called us by His own glory and goodness.

Jude 24-25

"Now to Him who is able to keep you from stumbling, And to present you faultless, Before the presence of His glory with exceeding joy, To God our Savior, Who alone is wise, Be glory and majesty, Dominion and power, Both now and forever.  Amen".

Wow!  Isn't this great?  Right now, by reading Jude 24-25, I am feeling like a kid in a candy store.  This is the "Come To Me" moment {Matthew 11:28-29}:  If you are stumbling, come to Him, "He is able to keep you from stumbling; "And to present you faultless, Before the presence of His glory with exceeding joy" is the moment that makes us righteous before God after we have been saved and cleansed by His Blood.  When God looks at us, He does not see all our sins, our filth, our faults, He sees Jesus!!!  He sees the new creation that we are because He has chosen not to "remember our sins no more" {Hebrews 8:12}.  Hallelujah!  This is another reason to say "thank You Jesus" even if you feel you have no reason.  I guarantee you, there is a reason!

Isaiah 40:26

"Lift up your eyes on high, And see who has created these things.  Who brings out their host by number; He calls them {stars} all by name, By the greatness of His might, And the strength of His power; Not one is missing" {good verse to share with someone who does not believe there is a God}

Psalm 23:6

"Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me, All the days of my life; And I will dwell in the house of the LORD Forever".

If you have been saved and goodness and mercy is not following you in life, someone is stealing your goodness and mercy {John 10:10}.  This will be a perfect come to me moment {Matthew 11:28-29 }"Come to Me all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I'll give you rest.  Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me; for My yoke is easy and my burden is light".

Why do you think Jesus wants us to take His yoke upon us to learn from Him?  This is because He has been there.  Do you think the "the thief comes to steal, kill, and destroy" happened to Jesus {John 10:10}?  For sure!  We can come to Him and learn from Him with every problem you can ever imagine.  This is another reason to say "thank You Jesus" even if you feel you have no reason.

John 6:27

Do not labor for the food which perishes {earthly gains and pleasures}, but for the food which endures to everlasting life, which the Son of Man will give you, because God the Father has set His seal on Him.

Ephesians 1:13

"In Him you also trusted, after you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation; in whom also, having believed, you were sealed with the Holy Spirit of Promise."

This is an awesome verse.  I love that God trusts us because we have heard His Word {Jesus} of Truth {Jesus} regarding our salvation {Jesus}, and that we believe, therefore, He has sealed us with His Holy Spirit of Promise.  The word sealed is an adjective, and it means secured.  Other words with the same meaning as sealed are: closed, shut, impenetrable, firm, fixed, etc..  John 10:10 has definitely been working here.  Call him out with the Word of God:

COMMAND

"Get thee behind me satan, it is written, that I am sealed with the Holy Spirit of Promise, and so it is, in Jesus' Mighty Name.  Go!!!

Ephesians 4:30

"And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, by whom you were sealed for the day of redemption".  Yes and amen, in Jesus' Mighty Name.

Hebrews 6:11-12, 18-20

"And we desire that each one of you show the same diligence to the full assurance of hope until the end, that you do not become sluggish, but imitate those who through faith and patience inherit the promises, that by two immutable things, in which it is impossible for God to lie, we might have strong consolation, who have fled for refuge to lay hold of the hope set before us".

"This hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and steadfast, and which enters the Presence behind the veil, where the forerunner has entered for us even Jesus, having become High Priest forever according to the order of Melchizedek" {Priesthood of Jesus}.

This is an amazing Scripture.  It tells me that in order to live in Gods' Will in His Promises, one must Hope {Jesus} till the end; faith and patience is required {Hebrews 11}; remember that God cannot lie because He is not a man, whatever He says, He will do; remember that Jesus is our High Priest forever!

John 6:37

"All that the Father gives Me will come to Me, and the one who comes to Me I will by no means cast out".

This verse is a good one for us to, maybe, understand why some people have not accepted Christ yet.  Think of it, we as born again believers, were not born into accepting Christ.  Everybody has their journey on how it came about accepting Him.  Obviously, according to this scripture, in the Spirit realm, God has given us to Jesus.  Maybe something we did {soul searching}, or a time that was pre-ordained by God for us to accept Jesus was the time we did {Kairos timing}.  When I say something we did, I don't mean that what we did is responsible for our salvation.  Our salvation is gift from God.

So in this case, we should not be judgmental of people that have not yet come to Him {Christ}.  Maybe God is in control of that?  Maybe their time has not yet come?  Maybe there is certain things they have to initiate themselves for God to give them to Jesus?  One thing I know for sure though, based on my own journey, that you have to seek to remove certain things in your path, in order to see clearly and to allow you to move in the right direction.  That may have been Divine timing to have that desire in me?  Deliverance definitely is a big necessity!  It removes all the debris out of the way.  I am still being pruned from glory to glory {2 Corinthians 3:18  "But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord}.

What I am trying to say here is that maybe something is standing in the way {like Daniel} of receiving that gift of salvation {Jesus}.  In this case, we might need Divine help.  But with God, since He is a God of freewill, He leaves it up to us to choose.  I believe, the only time He intervenes is when it is not part of the plan for us {Psalm 139:3 says "You comprehend [understand] my path"}, because everything we are to experience here on the earth has been pre-ordained?  Divine Intervention example will be when someone gets hit by a semi truck but there was not even a scratch on them.  I met a man like that.  Nobody knows the answers, but if you ask God, repeatedly, He will give you the answer.  I know this because of experience and Jesus' "Parable of the Persistent Widow" {see Luke 18:1-8}

But I will get back to where something may be standing in the will of God for His children, His creation.  You all know that God talks to us in dreams and visions, right?  Some people have visions while they are awake.  God also speaks to His prophets by giving them visions.  Let us take a look at this vision "Prophecies Concerning Persia and Greece" in the Book of Daniel, that is going to help us understand how the unseen world can prevent us from receiving God's Gifts and Will, and the answers to our prayers for us.

In Daniel 10:10, it is written "Suddenly, a hand touched me, which made me tremble on my knees and on the palms of my hands.  And he {archangel Gabriel} said to me, 'O Daniel, man greatly beloved, understand the words that I speak to you, and stand upright, for I have now been sent to you'.  While he was speaking this word to me, I stood trembling.

Then he said to me, 'Do not fear, Daniel, for from the first day that you set your heart to understand, and to humble yourself before your God, your words were heard {here it is letting us know that setting our hearts to understand God and to humble ourselves before Him makes our words/our prayers heard.  Amazing.  This is a key right here}; and I have come because of your words.  But the prince of the kingdom {satan has a kingdom too} of Persia withstood me 21 days {this prince of the kingdom of Persia is a demonic prince, also known as a principality, one of satan's chief demons.  There is one over every continent, possibly over every country in the world, who are up to no good.  See what this one did to Daniel}; and behold, Michael {the archangel}, one of the chief princes {Michael is equal in rank as this demonic prince of Persia, only on opposite sides}, came to help me, for I had been left alone there with the kings of Persia .  Now I have come to make you understand what will happen to your people in the latter days, for the vision refers to many days yet to come.

So this last paragraph tells us exactly what happens in the unseen realms around us.  In this case, God sent archangel Gabriel to Daniel about what God's plans were for Daniel and his people, Israel.  But these wicked demonic princes blocked the messenger archangel Gabriel, preventing him from relaying the message to Daniel.  He had to call for help from archangel Michael.  Wow!

Do you suppose the same thing happens to us when God is trying to reach us with answers to our prayers or blessings?  This is the very reason why Jesus had to come and experience all He experienced; do all He did, so that those things in the middle of us and God can be removed.  I mean the things that are holding us from connecting back to God, and living in the fullness of His Will.  This is why Jesus is the Bridge that came to connect us back to God.

1 Timothy 2:5 "For there is one God and one Mediator between God and men, the Man Christ Jesus,

But it just does not happen automatically.  We have to first accept Him as our Lord and Savior, follow His Ways, Receive His Truth {His Truth shall set us free {John 8:31}, and receive eternal Life

I hope that this blog today will bring some peace and security to your soul {mind, will, and emotion} about JESUS AS YOUR SECURITY; about who you are and whose you are.  Please share to be a blessing to someone else and you be blessed, in Jesus' Mighty Name.  Amen!!!  pflb © 10/31/20
