JESUS IS MY COMPANION

Hello everybody!  Shabbat Shalom!  Today, our topic is about "JESUS IS MY COMPANION".  Let us look at the Word of Yah/God/Allah and see what He says about this.  We all know that Jesus is the Word {John 1:1}.  So the more we confess/speak His Holy Word, read it, or listen to it, we are filling ourselves with Him; the more we are in constant companionship with Him.  Let's see what these Scriptures have to say about it.

Psalm 119: 63

I am a companion of all who fear You, and of those who keep Your precepts {command, decree, direction, law, mandate, order, rule, saying, etc.}

Proverbs 18:24

A man who has friends must himself be friendly, But there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother.

Hebrews 13:5

Let your conduct be without covetousness {greed}; be content {ease, gratification/thankful, peace, pleasure, satisfaction, peace of mind} with such things as you have.  For He Himself has said, "I will never leave you nor forsake you."

John 15:15-16

"No longer do I call you servants, for a servant does not know what his master is doing; but I have called you friends, for all things that I heard from My Father I have made known to you".

"You did not choose Me, but I chose you and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit, and that your fruit  should remain, that whatever you ask the Father in My name He may give you".

Did you know that you were chosen?  Isn't that amazing?  This Scripture is amazing.  We were chosen for Yeshua/Jesus/Isa {if you have accepted Him as your Lord and Savior}, and we were chosen to bear fruit, to be successful, for God to do great and mighty things through us.  If we are not in this place, we are not living the fullness of the Will of God.  This is when we take this up to God in prayer.

1 John 1:7

"But if we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sins".

Thank You Jesus!!!  This is a good reason why, even if we do not think a reason to thank Yeshua/Jesus/Isa, we can just still thank Him, because He has done so much for us.  Just thanking Him is an act of worship and deliverance can take place; healing can take place; whatever we are in need of at that moment, can take place.  HALLELUJAH!!!  Did you know Hallelujah means Praise God in Hebrew.

Isaiah 54:10

"For the mountains shall depart And the hills be removed, But My kindness shall not depart from you, Nor shall My covenant of peace be removed," Says the LORD, who has mercy on you."

Isn't this beautiful?  But we have to do our part.  In order to remain under this Promise of the LORD's Kindness and Peace, including everything else, we have to walk in His Way, His Truth, and His Life {that He has pre-ordained for you}.  If we don't, and choose to walk in the ways of the world, we open doors to the devil, where he comes in and blocks access to the LORD's Promises to us.

It is very important to live in constant repentance.  Remember?  Jesus' first words of His Ministry was Matthew 4:17 "From that time on, Jesus began to preach, "Repent, for the Kingdom of Heaven is at hand".

But this does not give us the license to sin though, but the LORD knew that we will sin.  And some sins are very stubborn, those are the ones that we know we do not want to commit anymore, but they keep coming at us, and we keep yielding to them.  This is because strongholds have been built, as a result, a strongman has been assigned to our soul, which satan uses to torment us.

EXAMPLE:  Lets say, I am a black, I had a negative experience with a white person that really hurt my emotions {REMEMBER: what satan wants is your soul.  Your soul consists of your mind, will, and emotions}.  As a result, since the experience that hurt your emotions, inflicted a wound on your soul.  So when you get to deal with a white person, satan takes a stick and jabs it at the wound in your soul, right away, you remember {your mind} that negative experience with that white person that hurt your emotions, and in your mind, you believe this white person is like the one that hurt your emotions before.  This is a lie because you only had an experience with one white person, and there are billions of white people in the world.  They cannot all be like that one white person that hurt you.  The truth is, there is good and bad in every race, color, parts of the world, in fact in every person.  We choose to be good or bad.  If you choose good, then you are being led by Yah/God/Allah, and if you choose the evil, you are being led by the devil.

This is how satan controls us; how he holds us in bondage; how he torments us.  Jesus knew all of this before hand, that is why He made a way for us as believers to repent of our sins, so satan does not have a foothold over our souls.  Ephesians 4:26-27 says "Be angry, yet do not sin."  Do not let the sun set upon your anger, and DO NOT GIVE THE DEVIL A FOOTHOLD".

Do not let the devil in.  Sin is what lets the devil in.  This scripture is not only applying to anger acted out, but all types of sins, which gives the devil a foothold {legal right}.  James 4:17 says "If anyone, then, knows the good they ought to do and doesn't do it, it is sin for them".  But thanks to God, He has given us benefits for being believers  where we can repent of our sins right away.  Psalm 68:19 says "Blessed be the Lord, who daily loaded us with benefits, even the God of our salvation.  Selah"!  Forgiveness of our sins is one of the benefits of being believers in Yeshua/Jesus/Isa.  It also says in Matthew 6:14 "For if you forgive men their trespasses, your Heavenly Father will also forgive you".

I believe we can repent of the sins when the devil comes with the temptation, before we act them out, this will give you a head start and put you ahead of the devil's plan to tempt you to open the door and let him in.  Again, I am not talking about willful sin, you know.  I am talking about having the mentality that I am going to do this and I will be forgiven.  I am talking about the sins we struggle with.  We struggle with them because satan is fighting with the sinner, he has a legal right, and he does not want to let sinner go.  He believes he owns them so he puts up a fight, but as a believer, you have power over him.

A good scripture for when the devil is tempting you to commit an act of sin will be James 4:7 "Submit yourselves therefore to God, resist the devil and he will flee from you".  You can pray this Scripture like this:

PRAYER:  Father God, in the Mighty Name of Jesus, I take authority, and by the Power of the Holy Spirit, I decree and declare that I submit myself to God, I resist the devil, that he may flee from me, NOW! in Jesus' Name.

If in a hurry, you can pray like this:

I submit myself to God, and I resist you devil, that you may flee from me, NOW, in Yeshua'/Jesus'/Isa's Name.

If you are in a place where you cannot talk because you don't want people to think you are weird or crazy, you can just think it in your mind.

Revelation 3:20

"Behold, I stand at the door and knock.  If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me".

This Scripture will be a good one to end the above prayer with.  It is like when they tell you in order to get rid of a bad habit, you must replace it with a good habit.  So when you resist the devil and he flees from you, you can immediately invite Jesus to come in and replace the devil you just resisted.

PRAYER:  I submit to God and I resist you devil, that you will flee from me NOW! and I invite You Yeshua/Jesus/Isa to replace the devil now, in Jesus' Name.  Amen!!!

James 4:8

"Draw near to God and He will draw near to you.  Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double-minded."

A good way to draw near to God will be to pick up the bible and read, or listen to Christian Music because they are Biblical in origin.

John 15:12-14

This is My commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you.  Greater love has no one than this, than to lay down one's life for his friends.  You are My friends if you do whatever I command you.

1 Corinthians 1:9

"God is faithful, by whom you were called into the fellowship of His Son, Jesus Christ our Lord."

This Scripture is reminding us that God is faithful, when He promises something, He will do it.  Numbers 23:19 says that "God is not a man, that He should lie, or a son of man,  that He should change His mind.  Does He speak and not act?  Does He promise and not fulfill?"  So every time we come across a Promise God has made to us, we should remember this Scripture that it is GUARANTEE.

1 John 1:3

That which we have seen and heard we declare to you, that you also may have fellowship  with us; and truly our fellowship is with the Father and with His Son Jesus Christ.

John 14:18

I will not leave you orphans; I will come to you.
