JESUS IS YOUR LORD

In the Bible, I just want to clarify, that in most cases, when Jesus is mentioned as Lord, He is spelled out as Lord, and when God the Father is mentioned as LORD, He is spelled out as LORD.  The Scriptures below, are going to give you the Promises of God, as to how Jesus is your Lord.

Remember now, God is not a man, that He should lie {Numbers 12:19 "God is not a man, that He should lie; neither the son of man, that He should repent: hath He said, and shall He not do it? or hath He spoken, and shall He not make it good?"}  We are going to start with

Philippians 2:9-11

Therefore God also has highly exalted Him {Yeshua/Jesus/Isa} and given Him the name which is above every name,

that at the Name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth,

and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

Romans 19:9-10

That if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.

For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession {speaking the Word of God} is made unto salvation.

Luke 6:46

But why do you call Me "Lord, Lord," and not do the things which I say?

Romans 6:14-16

For sin shall not have dominion over you, for you are not under law but under grace.

For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God,

not of works, lest anyone should boast.

So, this verse is telling me, that sin shall not have dominion over us.  Sin is what the devil uses as a legal right, to come at us.  But through the Grace of God, we are saved through faith, not because of ANYTHING we do, but because of God's love for us {John 3:16 "for God so loved the world that He gave His one and only begotten Son, that whosoever, believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life}.  And it's a GIFT!!!

As I was making corrections in the above paragraph, I decided to really see what the Word                     begotten means.  Don't laugh at me.  I kind of have an understanding without understanding.                  Lol!  I am going to share other words that mean begotten, because it is not a word you hear                     people say all the time.

Begotten is a verb.  A verb is an action word.  It means create, bear {like bearing a child}.                      Other words of begotten are: bring about, engender, breed, bring, cause, effect, father, generate,             get, multiply, procreate, produce, give rise to, etc.  Wow!  "One and only begotten Son" means                that Jesus is the only Son God bore through His Spirit.  All of us were off springs of Adam and             Eve.

But there is work to be done.  In order to walk in this salvation, we have to exercise FAITH.  Faith is a big necessity in our walk as believers.  Let us see what the WORD has to say about that.

            Hebrews 11:1

Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see.

            Hebrews 11:6

And without faith it is impossible to please Him {God}, for he who comes to God must believe             that He is and that He is a rewarder of those who seek Him.

            Matthew 17:20

Because you have so little faith.  Truly I tell you, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed,                 you can say to this mountain {our problems}, "Move from here to there {into the sea}," and it                will move.  Nothing will be impossible for you.  {Wow!  That is powerful!}.

Romans  12:1-2

I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service.

And do not be confirmed to this world {the ways of the world that are not pleasing to God}, but be transformed by the renewing of the your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.

1 Corinthians 6:19-20

"Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own?  {We belong to Jesus.  Amen!!!}

For you were bought at a price; therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God's."

Do you realize, brothers and sisters, how important you are to the Kingdom of God.  He has paid a high price {Yeshua's/Jesus'/Isa's life and blood} for you, to have you back as His child.  And as a "Born Again", you have to really be careful what you do to your body, what you allow in your body, because the Holy Spirit {the Power that raised {Yeshua/Jesus/Isa from the dead} lives in you.  It is this Power that enables you to live in the fullness of God.

Whatever you put in your body, that is not pleasing to God, defiles {dishonors} God.  As a result, you have disobeyed Him; you have opened the door to satan to have his way with you; you have delayed your blessings; you have been pushed away from the closeness to him; etc..

As a believer, you must be in constant repentance, especially when you have put in your body that which is not pleasing to God.  As long as you are not mocking God thinking oh I can commit this sin and I am forgiven.  This is in the case that you are struggling with this behavior.  This struggle is because there is a stronghold/strongman.  Because the Christian life is progression.  God transforms His children from the kingdom of darkness into the Kingdom of His Son.  And this process allows Him to take you from glory to glory,

            2 Corinthians 3:18            NLV Version

"All of us, with no covering on our faces, show the shining-greatness of the Lord as in a                        mirror.  all the time we are being changed to look like Him, with more and more of His shining-             greatness.  This change is from the Lord Who is the Spirit."

So when we are living in disobedience to God, there is a veil that is placed over our faces.  This             veil prevents us from knowing God; believing He exists; prevents us from seeing Him in the                World around us.  Once we become "Born Again", and we follow the Ways of Christ, we                        receive the Truth of the Word, then the veil is removed.  We are able to see the Father, know the             Father, and come back to the Father.  Then we start to live the Life He died for us to live {John             14:6}.

When you were bought, you were messed up.  So there is work to be done and it is all up to you to allow God to transform you quicker or slower.  Like our Hebrew brothers and sisters, it took them 40 years in the wilderness, from Egypt to the Promised Land, when it should have only taken them 40 days.   You have to be coachable by the Word of God.  You have to fill yourself with the Word and allow Him to teach you and to fight for you {2 Chronicles 20:15}.  The Word in you equals a handle for the Holy Spirit to work with you; to lead you; to stir you in the right direction.  Okay!

Acts 2:36

Therefor let all the house of Israel know assuredly that God has made this Jesus, whom you crucified, both Lord and Christ.  {Jesus earned His Title, and so will you!  Luke 14:27 "and whoever does not carry his cross and follow Me cannot be my disciple}.

Romans 14:8

For if we live, we live to the Lord; and if we die, we die to the Lord.  Therefore, whether we live or die, we are the Lord's.  {We belong to Jesus, dead or alive.  HALLELUJAH!!!  So those messing with God's property have some explaining to do on}.

Psalm 68:19

Blessed be the Lord, Who daily loads us with benefits, The God of our salvation!  Selah

Psalm 73:28

But it is good for me to draw near to God: I have put my trust in the Lord GOD, That I may declare all your works.

Psalm 86:5

For You, Lord, are good, and ready to forgive, And abundant in mercy to all those who call upon You.

Isaiah 50:7

For the Lord God will help Me; therefore I will not be disgraced; therefore I have set My face like a flint, and I know that I will not be ashamed.

Mark 12:30

And you shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind, and with all your strength.  This is the first commandment.

Acts 2:25

For David says concerning Him: "I foresaw the LORD always before my face, For He is at my right hand, that I may not be shaken."
