THE BIBLE IS YOUR INFALLIBLE AUTHORITY

Shabbat Shalom!  Today, we are going to talk about "THE BIBLE IS YOUR INFALLIBLE AUTHORITY".  First of all, let us have a clear understanding of the meaning of the word "INFALLIBLE".  Infallible is an adjective.  We all know that an adjective is a word that describes a noun or a pronoun.  So infallible means dependable.  So in this instance, the Bible is our dependable authority.

I find this very interesting, because the Bible is full of words.  I am going somewhere with this.  It is written in John 1:1, that "In the beginning was the Word {Jesus}, and the Word {Jesus} was with God, and the Word was G-d {Jesus}".  What I find interesting is that as a believer, we have the authority in the Name of Jesus, which means, we can do what the Bible {the Word of God} says, in the Name of Jesus.  It is as though Jesus is doing it, and He is.

Other words for infallible are flawless, foolproof, unbeatable, accurate, correct, effective, handy, helpful, impeccable, perfect, positive, surefire, true, trustworthy, undeceivable, unfailing, useful, unquestionable, and so on and so forth.  Let us see what the Bible has to prove that this is so: "THE BIBLE IS YOUR INFALLIBLE AUTHORITY".

2 Timothy 3:16

"All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof {disapproval}, for correction, for instruction in righteousness" {goodness}.

Many times in my life, I have had people say to me that man wrote the Bible so therefore, it's not true.  If something is not true, it is a lie.  I pray the Spirit of G-d leads them to this blog, to give them something to think about.  Because the time is drawing near.

2 Peter 1:20-21

20 "Knowing this first, that no prophecy of Scripture is of any private interpretation, 21 For prophecy never came by the will of man, but holy men of G-d spoke as they were moved by the Holy Spirit".

Here comes that Almighty Holy Spirit again.  We just went through a "21 Day With Holy Spirit" by Jennifer Leclaire as we fasted.  If we remember, Jesus promised to send us the Holy Spirit as He returned to the Father.  Part of His Job according to 2 Peter 1:21 is to move us: by leading us, moving in us and through us, pretty much taking over us, so that we are in alignment with the Will of God.

This is something that does not happen instantly for the believer, but it is to happen.  The way this happens, is to feed our souls with spirit food, the Word of God.  When we are filled with the Word of God, the Holy Spirit has a handle to work with us.  Because the Word {Jesus} abides in us, and we abide in Him.

Remember this Scripture John 15:7?  It is written that "If you {believer} abide in Me {Jesus}, and My Words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you".

So the Holy Spirit takes the Word in us, and transmits it to our minds at the time it is needed, especially when we cannot think of it.  The Holy Spirit is your helper.  This is another reason why the adversary {1 Peter 5:8 "Be sober-minded and alert.  Your adversary the devil prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour"} does not want us to read the Word of God, brain washing people with all manner of lies: man wrote the Bible; they have changed it so many times; I don't understand it when I read it; I believe in a higher power but the Bible is not it; the Catholics wrote it; et cetera.  When you read the Bible, you will find out that these are all lies.

Hebrews 4:12

"For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart".

This Scripture is telling me that the Word {Jesus} of G-d is a weapon, very dangerous weapon.  Not only is it a weapon, but it is alive, like you and me.  JESUS IS ALIVE!  It describes the Word like a knife, a very sharp knife that slices in multiple directions.  It is a double edged sword that no matter which way you swing it, it connects and penetrates, to the point where it even separates the soul from the spirit, joint from marrow {marrow = core, essence}.

Isaiah 55:10-11

10 "For as the rain comes down, and the snow from Heaven, And do not return there, But water the earth, And make it bring forth and bud, That it may give seed to the sower And bread to the eater",

11 "So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth; It shall not return to Me void, But it shall accomplish what I please, And it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it".

Wow!  This is amazing.  I hope this makes us remember Father every time it rains or snows from now on.  I know we just take everything for granted.  We don't even stop to say thank you Father for the rain or snow that is so needed for our survival on the earth through this journey.  I bet you, if we can thank Him enough with all the things He does for us, He will adjust our attitudes and justify.

And it goes on to say, that like the rain and the snow that comes down form Heaven, and stays to do it's duty, so is the same with His Word.  He sends it out, and it always produces fruit.  Meaning what the Word is spoken {testified} towards, against, or into, it becomes productive, by doing all what God wants it to do.  And He says it will prosper everywhere He sends it.

This is a very powerful Scripture.  It should be encouraging to the brethren to make it a point to read the Word.  This is amazing, OMG!  This is what happens, you speak the Word, the Holy Spirit takes it and moves with it, and the Will of God is done.  Like in the beginning in Genesis.

It is written in Genesis 1:1-3 "In the beginning God created the heavens {plural} and the earth.  2 the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was on the face of the deep.  And the Spirit of God was hovering over the face of the waters".  {My G-d}!

3 "Then God said, "Let there be light"; and there was light".  {My G-d, my God, how Great art thou}?  Praise G-d hallelujah, thank You Jesus!!!

John 5:39

"You search the Scriptures, for in them you think you have eternal life; and these are they which testify of Me".  {Amen}!!!

1 Peter 1:23

"Having been born again not of corruptible seed but incorruptible, through the word of God which lives and abides forever".

This also is an amazing powerful Scripture about the born again.  Some of you might be asking what is a born again?  A born again is a person that has accepted Jesus as their Lord and Savior, and believing in everything the Bible says about Him.

So 1 Peter 1:23 is saying that when you are a born again, you are not born of corruptible seed, but of an incorruptible seed.  Your born again birth is honest and honorable, indestructible, is moral, is pure, is straight, is undestroyable {my God!}, untouchable {wow!}, persistent, trustworthy, et cetera.  PRAISE GOD, HALLELUJAH!!!  THANK YOU JESUS!!!

Psalm 33:9

"For He spoke, and it was done; He commanded, and it stood fast".

This is the same thing we ought to do when we speak the Word of God, like Father.  We speak it, believe it is done, because it is;  we command with the Word, and we stand on the Word, and the Word stands fast.  Praise God, hallelujah!!!  Thank You Jesus!!!

Proverbs 30:5

"Every word of God is pure; He is a shield to those who put their trust in Him".

There you have it!  His Word is pure, and when you put your trust in Him, He shields you.  A shield is for protection {noun}, and it protects {verb}. And what did He tell you to do in Ephesians 6:11"Put on the whole {full} armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil".

So when you put your trust in God, you fall under His protection.  Wow!!!  So as a believer, we must trust in every Word of G-d, every promise He's made to us.  I believe, this is the reason why Jesus made this promise as it is written in Mark 11:24 "There fore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them".  Amen!!!  I receive it, and I thank You Jesus!!!

Psalm 119:89

"Forever, O LORD, Your word is settled in Heaven".

I think this is where this saying comes from: "God said it, I believe it, and that settles it".  So all we have to say is yes and amen! {2 Corinthians 1:20}

Psalm 33:6

"By the Word of the LORD the Heavens were made, And all the host of them by the breath of His mouth".

We are just like Father, created in His living image and likeness.  If He used His Word to make the Heavens and all the host of them, by the breath of His mouth {the Holy Spirit John 20:22}, so can we.  Jesus did.  And He said whatever He did, we can do and more.

It is written in John 20:22 "and when He had said this, He breathed on them, and said to them, 'Receive the Holy spirit".

Is there anything Jesus did not think about before He left?  He knew we were going to create, and without His Word, and His Spirit, we could not.  That is why He promised the Holy spirit,  and He sent Him, and He is with us.

2 Corinthians 1:20

"For all the promises of God in Him are Yes, and in Him Amen, to the glory of God through us".

1 Peter 1:24-25

24 "Because 'All flesh is as grass, And all the glory of man as the flower of the grass.  The grass withers, And its flower falls away, 25 But the Word of the LORD endures forever."

Here, the flesh mentioned is our bodies.  It was made from the earth, and at the end of this journey on this earth, it goes back to the earth.  Our bodies are temporary, but God's Word is eternal!  G-d has spoken and commanded it, it stands forever.

Mark 13:31

"Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will by no means pass away".

Again, a reminder, that Heaven and earth are temporary, but G-d's Word {Jesus}, is eternal.

If this blog has touched you in any way, please share with us.  You will be giving a testimony.  This is pleasing to God.  Don't be a people pleaser, be a God pleaser.  It is written in Acts 1:8 "But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me {Jesus} in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth".

Please share this blog and be a blessing to someone you know needs it, or the Spirit is speaking to your heart to share it with, and you be blessed, in Jesus' Mighty Name {Philippians 2:9}.  Amen!!!   pflb © 2/6/21
