JESUS IS YOUR LOVE: HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY

Images by SkipToMyLou.org

Shabbat Shalom!  Today, I am going to write about "JESUS IS YOUR LOVE".  Valentine's Day, is only a day away from today, so I thought it would be nice to see what the Bible teaches us about God's kind of love.  Please indulge yourself!

Romans 5:8

"But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us".

This is nothing less than unconditional love.  This is how He wants us to love one another with no conditions.  This kind of gesture is so challenging.  Why?  Because a lot of people are wounded, they have been hurt, as a result, it is difficult for them to love like this.  Only through God are we able to love like this.

John 3:16

"For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life".

This Scripture shows us how great God's Love is for us.  His Son, Yeshua/Jesus/Isa was made a sacrifice to show us how much He loves us.  There is a subtle wisdom demonstrated by God's act here.  He had to give in order for Him to get {us}back.

This is the same wisdom {common sense} required from us towards attaining our desires: you want love, you give love; you want something, you have to give up something; you want to be successful, you have to give up idleness; you want to be focused, you have to give up {or get rid of} everything that is distracting to you; you want trust, you give trust; you want more money you give money to someone who has less {giving money requires caution.  You have to make sure they are not using it for something destructive, like drugs or alcohol, or in ways that are not pleasing to God}; you want a blessing, be a blessing; and so on and so forth.  IF GOD DID IT, IT MUST BE A LAW OF THE UNIVERSE.

1 John 4:7-12

"Beloved, let us love one another, for love is of God; and everyone who loves is born of God and knows God".

There are so many ways we can love one another: a smile, a hug [you can tell satan hates hugs that is why covid came so we cannot hug anymore.  I pray this is temporary, in Jesus' Name]; a friendly gesture; listening to someone in distress [I know it is not easy because we might be at the time also stressed out]; ministering to someone by quoting Scriptures, or telling them that God is got them, everything is going to be all right, and leading them to a Godly solution, et cetera}.

"He who does not love does not know God, for God is love".  This Scripture is telling us that these kinds of people are completely gone.  Something has robbed them of their essence, of who they truly are.  But Hope {Jesus} is waiting for them to turn to Him.  We pray for our brothers and sisters, in Jesus' Mighty Name.  Amen!!!

"In this the love of God was manifested toward us, that God has sent His only begotten son into the world, that we might live through Him".  {I love this Scripture because I have come to the conclusion long ago, that I cannot live this life on my own without God.  This is confirmation, the last part of this verse: "that we might live through Him".  Someone might ask how?  And I would say to them, through His Scriptures: Elohim: God the Father/the Son/the Holy Spirit, it is His Mind, it is His LOVE LETTER TO US, it is His instructions, and everything we need for "Life and Holiness" as it is written in

2 Peter 1:3 "His divine power has given us everything we need for Life and Godliness through the knowledge of Him who called us by His own glory and excellence".  Does life need love?  Yes indeed!

"In this is love" {he points out His unconditional love here}, "not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation {propitiation = atonement, recompense, payment} for our sins".  This is a big thank You Jesus moment.

Jesus!  Wow!  Have you ever experienced any kind of love like that?  I guarantee you, if you love God, or even thrive to love God, you will be able to love yourself and others like that, kind a like that.

"Beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another".

This sounds like a requirement to me.  I believe it is the Will of God that we Love one another.

Prayer:  Father God, in the Mighty Name of Jesus, you've got to help us.  We cannot do this on our own, we are too messed up.  Please put the desire in us to love one another.  I know you have given us free will, but You are God, You are Almighty, You are All Powerful.  You are a God of Mercy, You can do anything.  It is Your Will that we love one another.  Fill us with Your Holy spirit to minister to us and help us.  We thank You God.  You are so faithful, in Jesus' Mighty Name.  Amen!!!  pflb

"No one has seen God at any time.  If we love one another, God abides in us, and His love has been perfected in us".  {This is amazing.  This verse is telling me that the gesture of loving one another, means God lives inside of us, and His love has been made perfect in us.  Wow!  LOVE IS KING!!!

1 John 4:16, 19

"And we have known and  believed the love that God has for us.  God is Love" {Jesus}, "and He who abides in love {Jesus} abides in God, and God in him.  We love Him because He first loved us".

This Scripture is describing Jesus as Love.  Jesus is the carrier of God's Love, I wrote about that earlier in one of my blogs.  And it also says that if we are in Jesus, we are in God, and God is in us.  This is why our bodies are considered temples because we are carrying God around.  This is mentioned in

1 Corinthians 6:19-20 "Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God?  You are not your own; 20 you were bought at a price.  Therefore honor God with your bodies".

And guess what, this Scripture also tells us we are not our own, that means we belong to Jesus because He has paid for us with His Life and His Blood.  So when satan is fighting against us, He is fighting against God.  That is why the Bible says the battle is not mine but the Lord's 2 Chronicles 20:15".  And all God is asking for in return, is to treat our bodies with honor, because it is holy.

John 15:9-13, 17

Verse 9: "As the Father loved Me, I also have loved you; abide in My love". {Here, Jesus is telling us that He is leading by example}

Verse 10: "If you keep My commandments, you will abide in My love, just as I have kept My Father's commandments and abide in his love".  {Wow!!!  He is not asking for too much, is He?}

Verse 11: "These things I have spoken to you, that My joy may remain in you, and that your joy may be full".  {Are you depressed, sad, and you find yourself robbed of your joy?  Here is your answer.  This is a thank You Jesus moment.  This is sooo needed for what we are going through today in the world}. And it goes on to say

Verse 12: "This is My commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you".

Verse 13: "Greater love has no one than this, than to lay down one's life for his friends".  {Wow!  In this verse, Jesus is referring to us as friends.  This is a great thank You Jesus hallelujah moment}.  And then He says

Verse 17: "These things I command you, that you love one another".  {This is a command.  And guess what, if we do not do it, it is a sin because of disobedience.  Wow!  Disobedience opens the door to satan and his demons to create havoc in the children of God.

It is written in Ephesians 4:27 "and do not give the devil a foothold".  This is a bait and a trap by satan.  That is why he loves to create division between people, families, relationships, groups, etc.  But we must work hard to overcome this bait of not loving one another.  We can do it.  I know it seems like a very large problem.  But if a rat can eat an elephant one bite at a time, so can we overcome this problem that seems so large.  And remember, the battle the enemy is waging at us is not ours, but the Lords as it is written in

2 Chronicles 20:15 'He said: "Listen, King Jehoshaphat and all who live in Judah and Jerusalem!  This is what the LORD says to you: 'Do not be afraid or discouraged because of this vast army" [large elephant/or big problem}.  "For the battle is not yours, but God's"}.  So all we have to do is cast it upon the Lord 1 Peter 5:7.  This is where we say "Thank You Jesus, amen!!!

Ephesians 3:17-19

"That Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith" {we just have to believe that He lives in our hearts}; "that you, being rooted and grounded in love" {Love/Jesus grounds us.  He is our anchor, we get rooted in Him.}

"may be able to comprehend with all the siants what is the width and length and depth and height"-- {saints here is referring to believers, those the world call fanatics, or those that appear like fanatics to the world}.

"to know the love of Christ which passes knowledge; that you may be filled with all the fullness of God".  {The world cannot even comprehend this kind of love.  This is why we appear like fanatics to the world because we are getting high off of "the fullness of God"}.

Proverbs 8:17

"I love those who love me, and those who seek me diligently {enthusiastically} will find me".

Most humans have inherited this from God, loving those who love them.  Others who are empty of God's Love, usually "look for love in all the wrong places".  I was in that place before, not knowing it was God I needed to fill that void.  And once they turn to Him and love Him, then they are able to love themselves, and be able to love others as well.

Jeremiah 31:3

'The LORD has appeared of old to me, saying: "Yes, I have loved you with an everlasting love; Therefore with lovingkindness I have drawn you."  {Everlasting love means God's love is forever}.

Hosea 2:19

"I will betroth you to Me forever; Yes, I will betroth you to Me in righteousness and justice, In lovingkindness and mercy".

Wow!  Betroth means marry.  When God loves, He is in it for the long run, forever.  He said He will marry me/you in righteousness: fairness, goodness, respectability, honor, devotion to a sinless life; in lovingkindness; and in mercy: grace, blessing, generosity, forgiveness, gentleness, tolerance, softheartedness, tenderness, et cetera.  Brothers and sisters, if your man or woman has these traits, towards you, according to these verses today, he or she has God in them; so does every person you know.

John 14:21

"He who has My commandments and keeps them, it is he who loves Me.  And he who loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I will love him and manifest Myself to him".  I think we had this verse last week".  Amen!!!

Psalm 42:8

"The LORD will command his lovingkindness in the daytime, And in the night His song shall be with me-- A prayer to the God of my life".  Amen!!!

1 Corinthians 13:13

"And now abide faith, hope, love, these three; but the greatest of these is love".  {I have heard many times before, that Love is the most powerful force in the Universe.  Now I know why}.

Romans 8:38-39

"For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come",

"nor height nor depth, nor any other  created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord".

This is a very powerful Scripture.  God's Love is so indestructible, and so durable, that nothing can take us away from Him.  NOTHING.  This is a very encouraging Scripture to end with today, the night before Valentine's Day.  Some of you may not read it until tomorrow, on the day of Love.  Isn't it so heart warming to know that someone loves you the way God does?

If you are alone, feeling lonely, broken hearted, giving up on love, well I am here to tell you that you are not alone.  God loves you and His Love/Jesus is real and alive.  He is standing at your door knocking, waiting for you to let Him in {Revelation 3:20 "Behold, I stand at the door and knock.  If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in and dine with him/her and he/she with Me.}  God's love will enable you to first love yourself, and then be able to sincerely love someone else.

Please share this blog to someone you know who might be blessed with this message today, and you be blessed, in Jesus' Mighty Name.  Amen!!!   pflb © 2/13/21.
