JESUS IS YOUR FORGIVENESS

Shabbat Shalom!  Today, I am going to write about "JESUS IS YOUR FORGIVENESS".  First of all, I know we all have an understanding of what "Forgiveness" is.  Forgiveness is a noun.  It means pardon; and end of blame.  WOW!  So that means, when someone does me wrong, and I decide to forgive them, I should NEVER blame them for what they did?  That is challenging as a spirit living in a body, living in this world.  You know what I mean?

From this moment, I believe, that this blaming other people for what they have done to you, is the reason why many of us spend so much time in the wilderness.  You know, like the Hebrew children coming from Egypt to the Promised Land.  They get stuck in Spiritual Gaza.  It could have taken them only 40 days to make it, but instead, because of the attitude they had with Moses and their complaints, it took them 40 years to make it.  I AM GUILTY!  THIS IS A REVELLATION!  OMG!  Woo Jesus!

I decided to get scriptures on this journey.  Instead I found a rather interesting blog which I am going to share with you.  It is titled "Eleven days versus 40 years".  I always heard it could have taken them 40 days, but the writer claims it takes 11 days from where Moses and the Hebrew children were, to their destination {destiny.  Holy Spirit just now told me that your destiny is your destination.  Wow!}.  It is possible that in modern days, it could take less time, compared to the era of Moses.

Another thing I find very interesting is, because we hear people say all the time, "pardon me" when they are trying to get someone's attention, or "I beg your pardon",  when someone has spoken to them and they did not hear or understand what was said.  So if forgiveness is the same as pardon, in those instances of conversation {I beg your pardon, or pardon me}, those people are actually asking for forgiveness.  I never thought of that.  Wow!  Ok!

Lets see what other words have the same meaning as forgiveness: Compassion {this is what Jesus had to do for us that made Him take the Assignment as our Savior, Redeemer, Shepard, High Priest, Friend, Brother, et cetera}; Grace {the finished work of Jesus on the Cross for remission of our sins, and all the benefits that come it.  That includes what the Bible says that God has given us everything we need for life and holiness {2 Peter 1:3}; Mercy; Remission; Charity; Justification; Lenience; Overlooking {that is not an easy task.  You are not born with overlooking someone offending you or hurting you.  It is something you have to learn, or maybe even receive}, et cetera!  Again, I say this is challenging for a spirit {you and me}in a body, living in this world.  Easy explanation for that is because our flesh {soul}, is more dominant than our spirit.  Remember?  We are body {the vehicle/jacket}, soul {experience}, and a spirit {part of God}.

Okay.  Let's move on to our first Scripture.

Ephesians 1:6-7

To the praise of the glory of His "grace", by which He {God} made us accepted in the Beloved {Jesus}.  In Him we have redemption through His Blood, the "Forgiveness" of sins, according to the riches of His grace.

Something I want to say about this verse, is that, first of all, all these italicized highlighted words you are going to see in this blog, all means "Forgiveness", which is what I am writing about today.  All these highlighted words are the different times and ways God forgave us.  And this is what He wants you to do with people that have offended you.  Yes, it is okay to still forgive people that you cannot stand to be in a relationship with, because you are still in the process of healing.  You can forgive them and keep your distance.  The Bible says that "Time heals all wounds" {Psalm 147:3}.

Matthew 6:14 says "For if you forgive other people when they sin against you, your Heavenly Father will also forgive you".  {It is a a promise}.

 And once you forgive, then God will forgive you with all that {sins} which has kept you in bondage, so that you are then able to live in the life God has called you to live and have.  This satan is very tricky, he uses offense to have an open door to come in and have his way with people.  So it is very important we must learn to forgive quickly, just as it is to learn to repent quickly.  Otherwise, the door is wide open to the enemy.

Psalm 85:2

You have "forgiven" the iniquity {sins} of Your people; You have covered all their sin.  Selah!  {This is a hallelujah and thank You Jesus moment!}

2 Corinthians 5:17

Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he {or she} is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.  {Forgiveness [Jesus] made this possible}

This is an awesome Scripture telling us that when we become born again {accepting Jesus as our Lord and Savior}, [one: we are in Christ; two: we are a new person; three: our past experiences are behind us; four: and everything is new].  It is very important that you study the Scriptures so you know who you are, whose you are, what Jesus did for you, what the enemy is still holding over you because he knows you don't know who you are, and a whole lot more.

This is why Jesus said in Hosea 4:6 that "My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge {John 10:10, satan the destroyer}.  Because you have rejected knowledge, I will also reject you as My priests".

This is why, as a born again, it is important that you know the Scriptures.  I know I am repeating myself, but it is very import that we get this and do it.  In Revelation 1:6, and Revelation 5:10, it is written "And hath made us kings and priests unto God and His Father; to Him be glory and dominion for ever and ever.  Amen".  Ok!

Psalm 103:12

As far as the east is from the west, So far has He {God} removed our transgressions {sins} from us.

God's forgiveness made this happen.  Can you imagine the distance between the east and the west?This is a hallelujah thank You Jesus moment!  By the way, hallelujah is the same as Praise God!

1 John 2:1

My little children, these things I write to you, so that you may not sin.  And if anyone sins, we have an Advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous.

This verse is spoken to us by John who was one of the original first 12 Disciples, and Apostles.  He is telling us that if we sin, we have an Advocate.  An advocate is a lawyer, apostle, counsel, defender, champion, pleader, speaker, upholder [a representative], et cetera.  There is a court room in Heaven and He {Jesus} defends us.  This is not to encourage us to sin, but more for the times when satan has no business tormenting us, and fighting against us because Jesus has already purchased us from captivity from satan with His {Jesus'} Life and Blood.

This is why Jesus said "my people suffer because of lack of knowledge".  Now you know why satan does not want you to read the Bible.  It's like pulling teeth.  But you can do it because this journey is not a journey that you take alone.  When in doubt, say or think, "JESUS HELP ME"!  He can hear you because you are His sheep and you belong to Him.  He bought you from satan.  If you can hear Him through His Words, how much more can He not hear you when you call upon Him.  The Bible says in John 10:27 that "My sheep hear my voice".  His sheep are those that believe that He is the Son of God: Yeshua, Jesus, Isa.  Enough said.

1 John 1:9

If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to "forgive" us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

This is a promise that requires an action.  Confess {same as repentance = Forgiveness}.  Remember earlier, I said we must repent quickly and forgive quickly?  Look at what happens when we repent, Jesus' Blood cleanses us from all unrighteousness {wrongdoing}.  That is the reason why His Blood was shed.

In the Old Testament days, God will require from His people to sacrifice animals {lamb} when they call/pray to him, or for whatever purpose.  They do it in Africa too.  This was a foreplay of Jesus' Blood.  Now when Jesus came, He became the Sacrificial Lamb.  We no longer need to sacrifice an animal, we now have Yeshua's/Jesus'/Isa's Blood.  And God did this because He loves us so much {John 3:16}.

 Hebrews 8:12

For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness {things not pleasing to God}, and their sins and their lawless deeds I will remember no more.  {This is a praise God, hallelujah! thank You Jesus moment}!

Isaiah 55:7

Let the wicked forsake his way, And the unrighteous man his thoughts; Let him return to the LORD {God the Father}, And He will have mercy on him; And to our God, For He will abundantly pardon.

Our Father is a merciful God.  It is never too late to turn around and go in the right direction.  This verse is telling us that He is waiting for His children to repent of their sins, and forsake {turn away from} their sins, and return to Him.  This explains why Jesus' first sermon was "Repent, for the Kingdom of God is at hand" {Matthew 3:2}.

Colossians 3:13

Bearing with one another, and forgiving one another, if anyone has a complaint against another; even as Christ forgave you, so you also must do.

Forgiveness seems like it is something we have to do through out this journey on this earth.  Just as you and I are constantly sinning, so are other people constantly sinning against us.  Mind you, you and I are not from here.  We are here only for a short time.  When we die, our bodies go back to the earth, our spirits and souls {souls with all the earthly experiences go back to God.  There is even a Scripture that shows how many times we are to forgive other people.  Unbelievable!  Check this out.

In Matthew 18:21-22, it is written "Then Peter came to Jesus and asked, "Lord, how many times shall I forgive my brother who sins against me?  Up to seven times?  Jesus answered 'I tell you, not just seven times, but seventy times seven'.  Does that tell you how important it is to forgive?

Mark 11:25

And whenever you stand praying, if you have anything against anyone, forgive him, that your Father in Heaven may also forgive you your trespasses.

This Scripture tells us how important it is to forgive, otherwise, our prayers will not be heard.  So we must repent and forgive right before we pray.  You know why, there are so many ways that we sin, that we don't even consider sin.  The Old Testament Law {Torah} teaches that there are 613 Commandments/Laws, also known as the Mosaic Law.  That was too much for anyone to keep.  That is why Yeshua/Jesus/Isa came and died to fulfill them for us.

It is written in Matthew 5:17 "Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets.  I have not come to abolish them, but to fulfill them".  This is how He paid for our freedom, how He purchased us from satan with His Life and Blood.  Look at what He said for the conclusion in

 Matthew 5:18: "For I tell you truly, until Heaven and earth pass away, not a single jot, not a stroke of a pen, will disappear from the Law until everything is accomplished"...

My Jesus I love thee.  Did you get that?  Jesus said in the above verse that until He, from Heaven, born of a Spirit {Fathered by the Holy Spirit}, and born of Mary {mothered by a person created from dirt/earth} dies, not even a jot {comma} from the Law {613} can go unpunished, until He goes through what He went through, hangs on the Cross, and dies, goes to hell, defeats satan, deafeats death,{gives us eternal life: our body dies but not our souls and spirits} frees the Prophets, and rise up again, and ascends into Heaven, and sits on the right Hand of God Almighty.  THIS IS WHAT HE WENT THROUGH FOR YOU AND ME!!!  Praise God, hallelujah!  Thank You Jesus!

Colossians 2:13

And you, being dead in your trespasses and the uncircumcision of your flesh, He {Jesus} has made alive together with Him, having forgiven you all trespasses.

Before we were born again, we were dead in our sins.  His finished work on the Cross gave us LIFE!  Thank You Jesus!  That is why He is the Way, the Truth, and the Life {John 14:6}.

Jeremiah 33:8

I will cleanse {with the Blood of Jesus} them from all their iniquity {sins} by which they have sinned against Me {God}, and I will pardon all their iniquities {sins} by which they have sinned and by which they have transgressed against Me.

This Scripture is telling us that every sin we do to other people, that we actually offend God.  Jesus!  This is why it is important to live a life of constant repentance and forgiveness.  Otherwise, guess what?  satan has something to work against you with.  And the more you repent and forgive, the more your sins are washed off of you, and you become totally cleansed.  You can forgive someone without them being present.  Just sincerely talk to God and do it from your heart.

Isaiah 1:18

"Come now, and let us reason together, "says the LORD {God the Father}, "Though your sins are like scarlet, They shall be as white as snow; Though they are red like crimson, They shall be as wool."

This is an invitation by the Father.  He wants you to come to Him, of course through His Son.  He knows you are messed up.  He is inviting you to come, to be cleansed by the Blood Jesus shed.  To transform you to that new person we talked about earlier {2 Corinthians 5:17}

Isaiah 43:25

I, even I, am He who blots out your transgressions for My own sake {Oh}; And I will not remember your sins".  Wow!

Do you see the Love of the Father here?  He is assuring us that He, God Almighty, is the One,  who wipes away all our sins, so that He will not remember them anymore.  And He does it for His own sake.  This is deep!  This was spoken to us through the Prophet Isaiah from the Old Testament.  Wow!  Amazing Love of God.  He is waiting for you!  This tells me He wants us all back, and He has made a way.  My God.  What a Mighty God we serve!
