PRAYER FOR KNOWING GOD'S WILL

Shabbat Shalom!!!  Today, I am going to share with you, this prayer, for "Knowing God's Will".  I do believe, that it is important to know what God's Will is for you.  If He is in control of your life, then His Will is what matters.  In fact, His Will is all that matters.  You can pray this prayer over yourself, or over someone else, or for someone else.  But first, let's see what the Bible says about prayers: for yourself, and for others.  It is written, in

Philippians 4:6-7                                Prayer For Yourself

"Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus".

Now, there are few parts to this instruction in Philippians 4:6-7.

1}    "Be anxious for nothing".  God has given you a choice, He has given you a free will.  Here He is             commanding you "be anxious for nothing".  FYI, anxiety is a demonic spirit that operates under             a strongman spirit, fear.  Fear works with bondage.

2}    "In everything": recognize what is causing your anxiety.

3}    "By prayer and supplication": pray to God, using His Word {His Promise to you, His weapon for you}, to pray to him, and to use against the enemy             about the thing that is causing your anxiety.

4}    "With thanksgiving": thank Him, before even your answer comes.  This lets Him know that you             believe in Him, that you believe He hears your prayers {which He does}, that you believe that He          will answer your prayers based on what He knows is best for you {because He is all knowing}.              This action is FAITH, and faith is what moves God.  And this faith kicks number 5 into gear.

5}    "Let your requests be made known to God".  Here is when He dispatches angels and they get busy         for your sake, His child.  OMG!  God is good, all the time, all the time, God is good!!!

6}    "And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding": this is when in the middle of this                 chaos, you feel Peace come all over you.  You get filled with peace.  This peace has always been             there, because Jesus promised it to you before He left, in John 14:27.  He said "peace I leave with          you, my peace I give to you.  I do not give to you as the World gives.  Do not let your hearts be              troubled and do not be afraid".  SUCH LOVE!!!  Receive it and thank Him.

7}    "Will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus": this is when you surrender to Him: your         hearts, your minds, your life, your troubles, all that you have, and all that you are.  See, He has                been standing at the door of your heart and your mind, amongst other doors, knocking.  You mind         is part of your soul.  Your soul consists of your mind, will, and emotion.  It's a gigantic doorway.             He says in Revelation 3:20, "Behold, I stand at the door and knock.  If anyone hears My voice and         opens the door, I will come in and dine with him/her, and he/she with me".

1 Timothy 2:1-4                                    Prayer For Others

"1 Therefore I exhort {encourage} first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving thanks be made for all men/women, 2 for kings/queens and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence.  3 For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior, who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth".

My brothers and sisters, 1 Timothy 2:1-4 is so necessary for the day, time, and season we are in.  Do you agree?  Then start praying, and be blessed, in Jesus' Name.  Amen!!!

PRAYER FOR KNOWING GOD'S WILL

Colossians 1:9-12

"9 For this reason we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you, and to ask that you may be filled with the knowledge of His will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding; 10 that you may have a walk worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing Him, being fruitful in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God; 11 strengthened with all might, according to His glorious power, for all patience and longsuffering with joy; 12 giving thanks to the Father who has qualified us to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in the light".

This prayer also has different parts to it:

1}    "Ask that you may be filled with the knowledge of His Will in all wisdom and spiritual                            understanding".

2}    "Ask that you may have a walk worthy of the Lord" {Jesus}.  The Bible says that Yeshua/Jesus is            "the way, the truth, and the life" {John 14:6}.  To walk worthy of the Lord is to follow Jesus, to             walk in the ways of Jesus Christ {this is necessary after salvation}.  FootPrints.

3}    "Fully pleasing Him": this requires you to check yourself.  Everything you do, you first ask if this         is pleasing to Him.  When you get to this place, you are walking as a new creation {2 Corinthians         5:17 "Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away, behold,         all things have become new}.  Your thinking becomes transformed.  Why?  Because your mind            connects to the Mind of Christ, and you start thinking like Him.  How?  Through His Word.

4}    "Being fruitful in every good work": it is God's Will for us to succeed and to prosper in good                 work.  If the work you are doing is not fruitful, first check yourself, then take it to God in prayer.

5}    "And increasing in the knowledge of God": It is God's Will that you know His word.  It is written            in 2 Timothy 2:15 "Be diligent to present yourself approved to "God, a worker who does not need         to be ashamed, rightly dividing he word of truth.

6}    "Strengthened with God's might according to His glorious power": His glorious power comes upon            you with Divine strength to tackle His Will.

7}    "For patience and longsuffering with joy": requires patience and longsuffering, but joy cometh                with the rainbow at the end of the tunnel.  So what do we do?  We keep our eyes on the PRIZE:             the Will of God=Yeshua/Jesus!!!

8}     "Giving thanks to the Father": why? because Father has qualified us to be partakers of the                     inheritance of the saints in the light".  So get to work saints!  Because the "harvest is great and the          laborers are few" {Luke 10:2}.  Don't worry, you don't have to be perfect, it is in the process that         you get perfected.  May the Spirit of God be with you as you continue on your journey.
